  1. Whoa… TOPG. I sure hope that’s a sign that they might be considering it for next-album recordage, and not that it was just a fluke. It seriously sounds like their live show has improved lately… in fact, it started seeming that way in the reviews about five shows after I saw them at Cat’s Cradle. Bummer.

I really need to see them play again. I can’t wait for the new album, and despite the fact that I really really want to see them, I think it will be worth the wait.

And for the record, I made that last statement without thinking about song titles.

  2. Carrying their odes to irreverence even further, “That One Pop Gem” concluded with a snippet of Salt-n-Pepa’s “Push It.”

    ahhh that’s too awsome!

  3. I’m a little bit bitter that I’ve never heard one of the old songs performed live, but I’d love to hear more new songs from them, period. I feel like a spoiled brat as I’m kinda annoyed that I won’t be seeing them for a while. (It’s been an every 3 months routine for me with seeing W.A.S. shows this year.) But it’s about time they get a vacation. Plus, they need to work on new material.

And then hopefully they finish that new material by the time Coachella rolls around because I need to know that one of my favorite bands will be at this 3-day extravaganza. 🙂

  4. Not sure we should take it as a positive sign that the DCist’s reviewer mistook ‘Best Behavior’, one of the two new songs we played that night, for ‘That One Pop Gem’.

History moves in circles, or something?

  5. i saw them perform at the black cat and it was amazing they are soo funny. i guess i should expect that from reading chris cain’s hilarious reviews. but honestly it was performed very well and i can’t wait to see them again.but i guess it won’t be for a while since they’re starting to work on their next album.i’m sure they’re hard at work on it right….. now!
