Fan Scrapbook

This is one of the hot topics on the W.A.S. discussion board and I think it’s an excellent idea. If you haven’t read about it yet, the following cut will have details about the Fan Scrapbook that’s being organized by Greg (a.k.a. Chick Lit at the board). The deadline is in two weeks and it’ll be given to the guys at the Carling Academy in Oxford on August 20th.

1) The deadline is 8th August
2) The size of your fanpage is going to be A4
– send in an A4 size doc (Word) file, with minimal marges of 1cm
– send in a jpg image file with pixels of 1191×1644 (a bit bigger is allowed too, but keep the ratio!)
– you can check your fanpage by printing a copy yourself
3) You can use as many colours as you like!
4) Send your contribution to
– subject: fanpage NAME X COUNTRY (substitute with your own name, first letter of your last name, and country you’re from)
– if received, you will get a confirmation within 3 days
5) Please don’t use offensive or sexually explicit language and material
6) The content of your page and your personal information won’t be sent to third parties

To help you on your way, here are some ideas.

1) Tell WAS
– about yourself
– about what their music means to you
– about when you discovered them
– about random things
2) Personalize your page by
– adding a picture of yourself
– giving your age, name, location, (nickname on the forum), myspace link
3) Make fanart
4) Write them a poem/song
5) Make your fanpage by hand first, then scan it
6) Find inspiration in ‘WAS’ music, their lyrics, their performances, interviews etc
7) Keep in mind you’re not the only fan, so be creative if you want your page to be noticed!

If you have any more questions about this project, post at the thread at the board or contact Greg at gregerooney [at]

  1. Hi guys, as you know the forum is still down, please remember I have the proposed deadline as the 8th of August for the scrapbook.

If you think you can do it and it will be after the 8th, please email me as I am sure I will be able to move the deadline for each individual, but you must post prior to the 8th!,

A very memorable day for all us WAS fans at Oxford Carling Academy.

    Thanks once again.
