Gigwise: We Are Scientists to release new album in June

It looks like NME has the album and single names switched around while Gigwise got it right.

  1. what I find annoying is why do they always have to talk about a “comeback”? I mean, they weren’t gone for like 20 years. it’s been two years since the last album. that’s quick. geez…
and can’t they get their stuff right. how hard is it to get album and single name right. … finally, NME can’t be taken seriously anymore. it’s a disgrace. bah.

      • if you look at it from that perspective, it’s ok. they are coming back. 😀 but “comeback single” sounds like they split up 10 years ago. they never went. just worked on a new album. sorry, I still get pretty heated up when I think about it. it always bothers me to hear of “comebacks” when bands were touring and writing an album. anyways…. I’m also not sure ab0ut the album title, Joanne. 😆

    • Yeah, I’m pretty sure it’s called Barbara if they’ve been telling the press about it. I hope they have some interesting explanations on why it’s called Barbara. I’m sure it’ll be the 2nd most asked question after “Why are you called We Are Scientists?”

      • I hope we’ll get some answers after Feb 23rd. 😉 Also, why they didn’t name “I don’t bite” “Carol” after all. a real shame. that would’ve rocked. but to be honest, I don’t care what the names are, as long as we’ll have them back soon-ish. 😀

        • I can’t wait to hear the stories they come up with for the title, either.

“but to be honest, I don’t care what the names are, as long as we’ll have them back soon-ish. :D”

  2. Hah, NME fixed the article now.
Chris has been predicting a may release for Barbara, so this is kind of disappointing… but then I remember its a new WAS album and stop sulking 😀
