“We Are Scientists have a reputation for dropping hilarious videos that take our breath away, and in person they didn’t disappoint. Seriousness was not part of the agenda as we talked about a random assortment of topics ranging from Destro’s metal head to celebrities that are (allegedly) secretly bald.”
We Are Scientists played at the Beauty Bar in Las Vegas on September 6, 2014.
Here are some of my photos from that very hot evening (full set on Flickr):
Here’s what I filmed:
Almost forgot to post the set list:
The ones that they didn’t play from this list were “Central AC” and “Dinosaurs”
We Are Scientists opened for The Rentals at the Fonda Theatre in Hollywood on September 5, 2014.
Here’s some of my photos (the full set is at Flickr):
Keith played with The Rentals:
And there was lots of press at this show- here’s their reviews and photos:
I only filmed “Lethal Enforcer” during this show:

The Rentals have a new album coming out this August called Lost In Alphaville and they’ve been announcing a few tour dates in September.
For two of the shows in California, We Are Scientists will be one of the supporting acts:
September 5 at the Fonda Theatre in Hollywood (tickets are still available)
September 7 at the Glass House in Pomona (tickets go on sale this Friday)
We Are Scientists joined Audioboo recently and they’ve been posting a couple of behind-the-scenes short podcasts. You can listen to gems like Keith Murray admitting that he shat his pants mid-set at T In The Park. 😉
Chris is also Guest Editor for the week at Magnet Magazine. Here’s his first two articles so far:
The Line of Best Fit is streaming “Make It Easy” off TV en Français.

It’s available to pre-order now! I found it on Amazon (US) last month but it’s also at Recordstore.co.uk where you can get a signed copy of it on vinyl or CD and it includes a bonus disc. And this is even better: you can get it at the official We Are Scientists merch site where they’re offering a huge bundle that includes the vinyl, CD AND Business Casual for only 24.99 GBP and if you order early enough, it might be signed!
It felt like a Christmas miracle that we got another (free) We Are Scientists show in Los Angeles!
Here’s the setlist (sorry it’s a bit difficult to read):
Rules Don’t Stop
What You Do Best
I Don’t Bite
Return The Favor
Make It Easy
Great Escape (they didn’t play this one)
They played “Sprinkles” and “Make It Easy” for the first time here in LA and I can’t get over how good these tracks are. I was freaking out over the new songs they played earlier this year but geez these other new ones- hot damn, I’m so excited for the new album and tour! (Buy tickets to the 2014 tour, everybody!)
And here’s some photos from the show (the rest of ’em are here on Flickr):
Make It Easy:
Sprinkles: (I recorded this too, but Jenn’s video of this is way better than mine)
